		<description>Good post!  Unfortunately, our modern understanding of the Confederacy has been shaped by events that occured after the war during reconstruction.  As a result, much of the fascinating history of Southern Jews has been lost.  There is much more...Richmond Va still has Judah Benjamin Avenue, and guess what is there?  The synagogue Mr. Benjamin attended on occassion....</description>
