Has your information been compromised?
January 18th, 2008 by adminAccording to the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse a total of 217 million data breaches have occurred since the beginning of 2005. Since the population of the US is about 300 million, this means that a significant portion of the American population has had a data compromise. Admittedly, many of the records are duplicates, and many are likely for people whose information has changed (credit cards expire) or have died, but it is still likely close to 50% of the population.
