Tuesday, May 8th, 2007 by adminThe word “occured” appears in google 12.4 million times, despite the fact that it’s not actually a word. The word “occurred” appears 217 million times. This means that people spell the word occurred incorrectly about 5.4% of the time on the computer, many of which have a spellchecker!
My question is this: are there any other words in the English language which people spell incorrectly at such a high rate?
