For my birthday Rebecca got me a betta fish. We went to petco today so I could pick the one I wanted. Now comes the big question – what do I name him? Being the nerd that I am, I will of course open it up to the readers of my blog for votes and suggestions.
Things that have come up so far:
All your base (because he belongs to us)
Alpha
Gamma
Galileo (or another scientist)
Spock
Poseidon
Kiaphet Amman’sor (she’s the aquatic Xindi in Star Trek Enterprise).
Morn (he’s quiet and all we ever see him do is drink like a fish).
Ideas and suggestions are welcome. As usual, Rebecca has veto power over everything.

Considering that the most common species of Betta is also known as the “fighting fish”, I think the name should be a bit more warlike. How about Lord Kruge – the Klingon Commander from Star Trek III: The Search for Spock?

How about “Hans” as in “Hans Bethe,” of the famous Alpher, Bethe, Gamow paper fame?
